Careers and Transition Education Association New Zealand (CATE)

CATE is a professional organisation for people working in the fields of career and transition education. The key focus is on the career education of youth and their transition from school into the wider world of employment, training and/or further education.

CATE's members include school Careers Advisers, Transition Teachers, Gateway Coordinators, STAR Coordinators and Vocational Pathways leaders, as well as from the associated areas such as private practice, tertiary training, MOE and TEC, private business, Education to Employment Brokers and Industry Training Organisations.

CATE currently has over 900 members nationwide, in 16 regions. Members are aligned to their local region, and all regions in New Zealand are represented on the national executive which meets quarterly.
